We have now done 2165 Kms and are staying tonight in a little country Pub at a nowhere town called Mount Schank SA on the road to Mount Gambier. (The pub is the town!) Check it out on Google Maps >>>http://goo.gl/maps/cS5tm
The Bellum Hotel – Mount Schank SA
We have had a couple of days great riding albeit with a bit of rain here and there but nothing too bad. We travelled the Great Ocean Road yesterday and stopped for the night at Port Campbell.
Along the Great Ocean Road
Here is a short HelmetCam video to give you a taste of riding the GOR http://youtu.be/uoTDrEkN-Fk
It was 9c this morning as we set out but it warmed up a bit (17c) through the day. We saw some beautiful country along the way.
Some beautiful country along the way 😮
We are heading for Tailem Bend tomorrow via Robe and Kingston.
Bye for now
Ros and Dick
After four solid days of riding we decided to take a day off the bike and recharge the batteries (so to speak). We holed up in a cabin at a funny old caravan park at Portarlington (like stepping back into a 50’s time warp) which is on the south west edge of Port Phillip Bay. It also gave us the chance to visit the local IGA and stock up for a couple of ” home cooked” meals to give us a rest from Club/Pub food for a couple of days.
We spent a couple of hours putting together this short video of some of our riding highlights over the past few days. Our poor little netbook computer struggled with the video editing so the quality is not too good but gives you an idea of our ride so far.>> http://youtu.be/nNtQXOYLyjE

The four of us preparing to leave Bairnsdale
We stayed the first night at Cobargo then on to stay with our relos Brad and Ruth at Bairnsdale. They provided great hospitality and company and rode with us the next day giving us a fantastic tour through rural Victoria staying with us in Leongatha.
We said our farewells the next morning after riding to Cape Paterson together. They headed back to Bairnsdale and we headed via Phillip Island to take the ferry at Sorento across the opening of Port Phillip Bay to Queenscliff then on to Portarlignton where we are having a lay day tomorrow to catch up on some washing etc.
Everything is good and we are having a great time
Ros and Dick
We are currently in Leongatha in Victoria and have had three great riding days covering about 1500Kms. All is going well. More details later tonight.
